Just thought I'd share a couple of technology changes I have made to make business tick over a little better.
BTW - I'm a PC / Microsoft / Iphone kind of girl. No - Im not, I'm actually a pick-up-the-phone or go-and-see-them kind of girl, but I cant always get what I want can I!
PHONE APPS
* Hours Tracker - you allocate your sections and just log in, log out. There's space for comments - and once you are done - one button and it downloads into excel for you!
* Cam Card - take a photo of a business card and it automatically gets added to your contacts database - clever eh!
* Around Me - shows you how far to things you often need - eg. ATM, fuel, parking -- great for a country lass!
COMPUTER WORLD
* Google - this thing knows no boundaries! Ask it anything! Today I googled "how to take a photo of the screen and email it?" and wha-la! now I can take a screen-shot (its Alt+Prt Sc)
* Dropbox - allows you to keep a document in a file that others can see/edit - great for docs that constantly need updating or that you want other people to edit
* Calendar function on Microsoft Outlook - it combines a diary with your emails - send and make appointments using email, it gives you reminders and everything! Great for planning, as well as recording key points from meetings that don't have minutes etc.
* Sugar Sync - a bit like Dropbox - but you keep the files within your own filing system - and share it with others. Great online option for computers that you want to have networked.
* Skype - its been around for a while now, so many people have it - use it, unless you want to pay extra for your calls!
* Weebly - and I couldn't forget this great online website - it just keeps adding more functions to give me more options while making it easier and easier to use!
